Snoozzzers started with a simple, unglamorous problem: someone we love had not slept properly in two years.
Not because of stress, or caffeine, or a bad mattress. Because of the person lying next to her.
She tried everything you have probably tried. The pillow over the head. The spare room, until that started to feel like a statement. Foam plugs from the pharmacy that ached by 2am and were somewhere in the duvet by morning. Every earplug on the shelf turned out to be designed for a factory floor or a rock concert, and then sold to people who just wanted to sleep in their own bed.
Nobody was designing for the bed
That is the gap we kept running into. Hearing protection is a serious, well engineered industry, but almost all of it assumes you are standing up. Nothing accounted for the simple fact that most people sleep on their side, with one ear pressed into a pillow for seven hours.
So we went looking for the opposite: something low profile enough to disappear against a pillow, soft enough to wear all night, and reusable, because buying silence in a new packet every month is a strange way to live.
What we actually believe
Sleep is not a luxury purchase. A decent pair of earplugs should not cost what the imported brands charge, and it should not need replacing every few weeks. We priced ours to sit below the big names rather than alongside them.
Buy less, not more. Ours are washable silicone. Rinse them, dry them, keep them in the case. If you only ever buy one pair from us, we have done the job right.
No miracle claims. Earplugs reduce noise. They do not cure insomnia, they will not fix a medical sleep disorder, and anyone promising you a specific decibel miracle is quoting a marketing number. If snoring is severe or you suspect sleep apnoea, please see a doctor, not a website.
Where we are
We are a small South African operation. Orders go out by tracked courier and usually land within a few working days. When you email us, you get one of us, not a ticketing system.
If something is not working, tell us. You have 7 nights to decide, and we would genuinely rather refund you than have you keep something that is not helping you sleep.
